A temporary road closure has been put in place to allow Balfour Beatty to carry out carriageway resurfacing works which are expected to commence 16th August 2026 and anticipated to take 8 days to complete.

Location: A7 Longtown, from its junction with the A6071, extending in an overall north easterly direction for approx. 4.7 km.
Alternative Route: A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of the A7, B720, B6357, B7676 and A6071.
