Food Cumberland
Join #TheFoodConversation We're talking about food, here in Cumberland!
Published: 14 October 2025
Over the last year, we’ve been working alongside The Food Cumberland
Partnership and attending Cumberland Council’s Community Panel Network
events. We’ve spoken to people about food – how it’s grown, produced and
distributed, and what challenges and opportunities there are when it comes to
making sure that affordable, healthy food is available to everyone.
We’ve had a great response; we’ve heard amazing ideas and ambitions – and
we’ve also heard about some of the real difficulties that people face tackling
food poverty and poor access to healthy produce.
Now we’re holding an online conversation, so we can hear from people who haven’t
been able to attend an in-person Community Panel Network event.
When: Tuesday 4th November, 6.00pm to 7.30pm
Where: Online (via Zoom)
Who: This session is for community groups and buildings, Parish Councils – in fact,
anyone who wants to support their local area and help to improve access to affordable,
healthy food.
Why: Your thoughts and ideas will be fed back to the Food Cumberland Partnership, to
help inform and guide the work of the group. Read about the partnership here:
