About the Fund
The Hallburn Wind Farm is committed to providing a community benefit fund of £66,000 per year for community projects. The Fund is split equally over two funding rounds each year, and groups can apply for grants between £250 and £20,000. The next two closing dates for applications are:

15 January 2025 (decisions end March 2025)
16 July 2025 (decisions end September 2025)

Project Locations
Projects for which grants are requested must be located within the Parishes of Arthuret, Hethersgill, Kirkandrews-on-Esk, Kirklinton Middle, Nicholforest, Scaleby, Solport, Stapleton and Westlinton.
Project Purpose
The Fund is open to any community project which is for the benefit of residents of the local area. This Fund can provide both capital and revenue grants.
Eligible Organisations
Eligible Organisations, who can apply for funding include:
 Voluntary and community groups
 Parish Councils
 Schools and educational establishments (for projects above LEA responsibility)
 Social enterprises (including credit unions, co-operatives, social firms, community owned enterprises, CICs and development trusts) provided they operate on a not-for-profit basis and have at least 3 unrelated Directors (residing at different addresses).

Applicants are required to have a written constitution, a set of rules, or a governing document and a bank or building society account, held in the name of the organisation, in place before applying for a grant.
